Greetings SPMA Family! I am excited to be back at SPMA again for the 2023-24 school year, my 18th  year teaching at this school (formerly North End). I began teaching in Saint Paul Public Schools 25 years ago and have experience teaching many subjects and grade levels. My specialties are reading, math, and gifted/talented education.  I currently spend a majority of my day with small groups teaching phonics through a program called SIPPS and reading through Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI). Additionally, I facilitate math problem-solving activities with bigger groups of advanced math students. I enjoy providing specialized services to my students and developing relationships with each (and their families!). I feel so fortunate to be a part of a school community that I have looked forward to coming to every day for many years. Some of my interests include reading, taking pictures and making videos, going on scenic drives, exploring and enjoying nature, boating, going to car shows, and spending time with my family.  My husband and I have two sons named Bretton (5th Gr) & Bash (3rd Gr).
