Welcome to 3^rd Grade!

I am very excited to be teaching third grade!  This is going to be an amazing school year.  We are going to be able to explore new things together and learn a new way to have school together.  My favorite thing about third grade is watching students grow as learners and take responsibility of their own learning.

This is my 13^th year of teaching and my 3rd year teaching 3rd Grade at Saint Paul Music Academy.  I have spent time teaching 5th Grade as well as Special Education.  I look forward to spending time teaching all the new 3^rd graders and working with a wonderful community of learners.

I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota – Minneapolis where I received my undergraduate degree in elementary education.  I also recieved my Masters in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota.  I am licensed to teach middle school social studies.  I see myself as a life-long learner, I am always looking for opportunities for personal and professional development.

When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time camping, biking, golfing and spending time with my family and three dogs: Macie, Lily and Mabel. 

I love teaching at Saint Paul Music Academy because of the talented and supportive staff I have the opportunity to work with each day!  I am also thankful for all of the students that give me inspiring stories to bring home each night. To me, SPMA is a wonderful school with so many amazing resources for families, students, and staff!
