Dr. Krista Ottino
Welcome to Fifth Grade and Team Ottino! I have had the privilege of teaching for St. Paul Public Schools for 32 years! I have taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. I have also served as a coach in the areas of literacy, math, and behavior. I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, a Masters degree in Instructional Systems and Technology, and a Doctorate degree in Educational Policy and Administration.
In addition to teaching 5th grade, I also teach two graduate level courses for Hamine University's Urban Education certificate program: Culturally Relevant Pedagogy and Managing the Urban Classroom.
I live in Hudson, WI with my husband and three dogs: Bella, Sadie and Rhett. Sadie and Bella are internationally certified as Pet Therapy dogs and visit a number of hospitals and nursing homes in our community with my husband, Rick. I enjoy gardening, reading, travelling and spending time with family and friends. I am also taking Spanish 201 this year in an effort to improve my Spanish language skills.
