The third grade team at Phalen Lake has five classrooms. We have two Hmong Studies classrooms and three Hmong Dual Language classrooms. In our Hmong Studies classrooms, our learning is done in English throughout the day. Our Hmong Dual Language classrooms use both the Hmong and English languages during the school day.

Our goal for our students is to develop a love of learning and an excitement to explore the world around them. We provide students with a safe and engaging learning environment which allows them to grow into confident world citizens.  Students learn reading, writing, mathematics and social studies. They meet in small groups with teachers so that their individual needs are met.
