Hi!  My name is Kay Ru Htoo. Students call me Mrs. Kay. I am a Second Grade Hmong Studies teacher at Txuj Ci Lower Campus. This is my first year teaching at Txuj Ci. I am excited to work with all the students and staff at this school. Everyone is so welcoming and makes me feel belong.

 

Here is my journey in short. I graduated from SPPS high school and decided that I wanted to be in the education field. I started as a staff member in a Child Care Center in St. Cloud State University. I then moved and transferred to Metropolitan State University. I also started to work in an elementary school as a paraprofessional for 3 years. I graduated from Metro State University and started teaching in second grade during the pandemic year. This is my third-year teaching as a classroom teacher.

 

I am Karen. My family and I moved here in 2008, and we have been blessed with everything ever since. I am thankful for my family. I am grateful for what I have accomplished and I owe all of it to my family.
