Welcome to the STEM page with XF Katie and XF Mai Tong. In our classes, we teach science through TWIG and coding. Students will explore and develop ways to solve problems with science, technology, engineering, and math. We are fostering creative and critical thinking.

This year, all students will be introduced to coding. Some grade levels will learn how to code using Sphero robots. We will also be supporting our science teacher, Mrs. Hansing, in teaching science lessons from the new TWIG Science curriculum.

• Marble Run Engineers: learning about how objects move, force, and how to change the movement of objects. 

1st Grade:

• Animal Reporters: learning science skills of observation, analyzing, and reporting while learning about different species of animals and their methods for survival

2nd Grade:

• Coding

• Save the Island: learning about how Earth changes overtime, landforms, natural disasters, and engineering to solve real-world problems

3rd Grade:

4th Grade:
