Nyob zoo! Hello!

Kuv yog Xib Fwb Maiv Tooj! I am Ms. Mai Tong. This school year marks my eighth year as a teacher--it has been a long, yet rewarding journey. This is my third year teaching STEM and being a Math Academic Support Teacher here at Txuj Ci HMong Language & Culture Lower Campus. I am a SPPS alumna and am so thrilled to be back in the district that fostered my love of learning, especially being here at Txuj Ci to support HMong students like myself.

This year and last year I found myself coaching our First Lego League (FLL) team. Ms. Kostka joined me in coaching this year as well! This year we did not make it to the 2024 MN State Tournament. However, our two teams received two rewards! Our team, the Txuj Ci Coding Dragons, received "The Breakthrough Award" and our team, Txuj Ci Coding Stars, received "The Rising All Star Award".

When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my dog, Beau and my fiancé. I love coffee and need to have one every day. I enjoy reading books and watching K-dramas. I love going out to try new restaurants and foods.
