Nyob Zoo! I am the Hmong Dual Language Coach/Curriculum Coordinator at Phalen Lake Hmong Studies. In my role, I support Hmong Dual Language Immersion teachers with curriculum development/coordinating and coaching through our job-embedded professional development.  

Before becoming a coach, I taught 2nd Grade Hmong Dual Language at Phalen Lake Hmong Studies for 5 years. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of St. Thomas with a BA in Elementary Education K-5 and Social Studies 6-8, and a BA in Geography. I completed my Masters of Education in English as a Second Language and Bilingual Education from the American College of Education.

Currently, I live in Saint Paul with my husband, my two children and our dog, Dream. Hobbies I enjoy include anything to stay active, such as walking, running, biking, and hiking outdoors. I have a deep passion for learning the Hmong language, culture and history. I also enjoy cooking for family and friends and trying new recipes from all cultures and palettes. In my free time, I love traveling, learning how to DIY, read, and watching mystery, sci-fi or historical dramas.
