Third graders want to know . . .

Q: Why do you teach third grade?
A: I love kids this age.  They can do so much -- measure, read, math,
write, and have so many questions about all of these!

Q: Who's in your family?
A: I have my wife Sophie, two kids Charlie and Ella, both in elementary
school.  We live in Minneapolis.

Q: What do you collect?
A: I love hats from anywhere and any people.  I also collect old toys and
records.

Q: How many bow ties do you own?
A: About 30 or more!

Q: What is the farthest you've ever been from your home?
A: I lived for a year in Budapest, Hungary back in college.  I went to
college at the UW - Madison.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant?
A: I love Thai food and Greek food.  Oh yeah, and any ice cream shop.
