Ms. Williams

Hello!

My name is Jamie Williams and I am the 7th grade American Studies teacher this year. This is my fifth year at Capitol Hill, and my twelfth in SPPS.  I love how Social Studies threads through all subjects and areas of life; 7th grade American Studies is an opportunity to explore how that happens. I am excited to learn from the students; the knowledge they bring enhances all the lessons! We will be working together to analyze and make changes to our communities and our world.

I also have the amazing opportunity to be the teacher-leader for Dare 2 Be Real, a student-led anti-racism group. We will be digging into the history of our country to be able to shape its future. I'm eager to discover what possibilities your students imagine!

I grew up and live in St. Paul and am a proud product of SPPS. I am married and have two children, both in SPPS! We love to travel and experience new things. I also enjoy reading, watching sports, and sleeping in! 😀 I look forward to working with Capitol Hill families!
