Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Elizabeth (Beth) Brzinski

Welcome to first grade at Capitol Hill!

My name is Elizabeth Brzinski and I go by Beth.   I grew up in Maplewood, and earned my undergraduate degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Go Badgers!).  I earned my master's degree from Saint Mary's University in Winona, MN.  Prior to coming to Capitol Hill in 2008, I taught for 15 years at Cherokee Heights Elementary on the West Side.  I am now starting my 16th year at Capitol Hill.  It is difficult to believe I have now taught as many years at Capitol Hill as I had at Cherokee Heights.

I come from a family of educators, many of whom taught in St. Paul.  I am very honored to be a third generation teacher, second generation St. Paul teacher, and be able to spend this year with all of you.

My husband's name is Darren, and I have two adult step-children and two grandsons.  We also have feline fur babies living in our home; Millie, Gracie, GusGus, and Izzy.  I love spending time with our grandsons, motorcycling (passenger :), kayaking, traveling, cats, coffee, dark chocolate, and planting in the spring.

I look forward to having a spectacular year together.   I am committed to doing my best to make this year as thoughtful, engaging, and joyful as possible!

In partnership...

Beth Brzinski
