Hello! My name is Paige Johnson and I am one of the PYP DCD/ASD Special Education Teachers here at Hazel Park Elementary. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with my Masters in Elementary Education in 2016, and I am currently pursuing my Masters in Special Education via Minnesota State University Mankato. I have been leading the PYP DCD/ASD program since I began at Hazel Park in 2019, and having a blast! There are many reasons that I love working at Hazel Park, but the biggest reason is the relationships I have built with my amazing students and colleagues.

I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to Minnesota when I was 21 years old. I live in Burnsville with my husband Phil, our son Calvin (6), my stepsons Gabe (21) and Nick (18), and our 10 pets: a Corgi, a cat, four birds, two guinea pigs, a turtle, and a chinchilla. When I am not teaching, I love to play video games, watch scary movies, read, and play games with my family. I am also a huge Baltimore Ravens fan!

I am excited to welcome all students back for the 2023-2024 school year. It will be another amazing year at Hazel Park!
