My name is Allison Thielen and students call me Ms. Thielen. I graduated in 2000 from Miami University with a BA in Music and from The University of Minnesota in 2003 with an MA in Musicology and Music Education. I am licensed in K-12 Vocal and Classroom Music. I also earned by Reading Certificate from St. Cloud State and am licensed in K-12 Reading. I have been teaching in Saint Paul Public Schools since 2019 and started at Four Seasons A+ in 2023.

I believe strongly in the power of the arts to engage children in learning. The arts allow an access point for all children, regardless of their home language or academic skills. Arts integration allows for arts areas (visual art, music, theater, and dance) to be taught concurrently with reading, math, writing, social students, or science, and improves both understanding and engagement.

I am so excited to be in this role, to grow arts opportunities for the students and families here at Four Seasons, and to connect with artists and arts organizations in our St. Paul community!
