Ms. Christina Skahen

Christina Skahen is a K-2nd grade Deaf and Hard of Hearing teacher at Four Seasons A+ Elementary School. She has been teaching since 2020.  She attended the University of Minnesota, earning a master's degree in Deaf Education. Christina also holds National Interpreter Certification, and a Bachelors degree in ASL/English Interpreting. 

Christina believes in providing language-rich environments through American Sign Language. Along with structure, routine, nurturing and quality time for each child. Her goal throughout the year is to provide children with a solid base of language to help them become successful as a learner. Christina believes strongly in learning through play and strives to meet children where they are at. Christina believes ALL children can learn! Regardless of hearing loss and diagnosis. 

Christina believes it takes a village to raise a child. With this in mind, Christina works to keep families informed of what we are learning in the classroom and encourages communication between home and school.
