My name is Katie Spear. I have been teaching for 9 years and working with children for the past 13 years! I earned my undergraduate degree in Applied Linguistics at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon and I earned my Masters of Education at Mills College in Oakland, California.

 

As an educator, it is my hope that I am helping my students learn the skills that they will need to be successful on any path they take. I view my teaching practice through an anti-bias lens, and I strive to create an inclusive classroom environment in which my students feel safe and supported. I love seeing my students enjoy their learning through collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
