Ms. Lowther is an EL teacher working with 6th graders in reading and writing as well as teaching English Language Development. This is Ms. Lowther's first year at Battle Creek Middle School. Ms. Lowther has taught Spanish in grades K-5 and 9-12 for the past thirteen years. Ms. Lowther is fluent in English and Spanish. Ms. Lowther has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Studies from the University of Minnesota. She also has a Master of Arts in Teaching from Hamline University and has completed the English as a Second Language Certificate Program through Concordia University in St. Paul, MN. 

In her free time, Ms. Lowther enjoys spending time with family and friends, spending time outdoors, and reading.
