Mrs. Emma Thomas

Hello!

My name is Emma Thomas (she/her), and I teach 6th grade earth science (more information below). I grew up in White Bear Lake and went to college at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities (go Gophers!). This will be my third year teaching at BCMS, and I am very excited to meet my 6th grade scientists and get learning!

Some fun facts: I love doing anything that is art-related or crafty, I am a big Marvel fan (Loki is my favorite character), my favorite color is yellow, and this summer I took two road trips- one to Nashville, and the other out to Glacier and Yellowstone national parks!

If you need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out! I can be reached most easily by email (emma.thomas@spps.org) or via text to my Google voice number (651-468-2112).

  • 6th grade students study earth science. They will need the following items for class: a notebook, pencils, and about 10 gluesticks. We create interactive notebooks to help deepen our understanding in science and go through a lot of glue!

See below for a map of what we are learning this school year:

6th grade students will study earth science. This year, we will study weather, history of Earth, Earth's systems, and space.
