This is Jenna Mensen's third year teaching at Humboldt and eighth year as an educator. Throughout her career, she has taught 6-12 grade English Language arts. While at Humboldt, she taught 7th and 8th grade and is teaching 10th grade this year. Ms. Mensen has a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in education with a license to teach 5-12 grade communication arts and literature. 

When Ms. Mensen is not at school, she dances in a hip hop class three times a week. She also loves to explore new places including local (around the Twin Cities) and around the U.S. Recently, she has visited the Grand Canyon with her three children.

When Ms. Mensen is not traveling or dancing, she loves to read the sci-fi/fantasy genre and her favorite book series is Lord of the Rings. Laughing with her children and sharing her favorite movie/tv show quotes with them are among her favorite things to do. Ms. Mensen loves the passion for equity and high level learning that she has discovered at Humboldt and hopes to continue to build a community of engaged learners and global thinkers.
