  • Humboldt Health Office- Welcome!

Meet your Health Office staff!

  • Nurse Monet

Hello, my name is Monet Goudreault, MSN, RN, LSN. I am the Licensed School Nurse at Humboldt. I joined Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) in March 2023. I graduated from St. Catherine University with my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Prior to working as a School Nurse I was a Labor and Delivery Nurse.

My role as the School Nurse: School Nurses promote student health and wellness, in order to enhance learning. My role is to collaborate with other school staff to manage the health care needs of students during the school day. I also provide acute care for illnesses and injuries, assist students in developing skills to manage their health, refer students to health care providers for further care, connect families with needed health resources, and collaborate with public health authorities/partners to promote population health.

I am passionate about health and education; students cannot learn if they aren’t physically or mentally well. My goal is to help young people learn about their bodies, advocate for their health needs, and empower them to make healthy choices.

My hobbies include gardening, traveling, cooking, exploring the outdoors, and listening to audio-books.

I am very excited to be at Humboldt. This is a great community, and I look forward to partnering with you and your student(s)! The easiest way to reach me is by email at monet.goudreault@spps.org

    Miss Lena

Covid Info

  • COVID Info

Visit this SPPS COVID website for the most update information and guidance. https://www.spps.org/covid

Important note- we NO longer exclude students from school for suspected or known COVID cases.

    • Similar to flu and other infectious or communicable diseases, isolation of individuals with COVID-19 will be recommended rather than required.

    • Masks will continue to be optional. Students, staff and family members are welcome to wear a mask if they choose to do so.

    • Families should manage any illness based on general guidance and use available resources.

    • Parents/guardians should still report absences due to illness to the school and follow general guidance. Students should stay home if they are running a fever and/or are too ill to participate in learning.

    • SPPS will continue to offer COVID-19 test kits while supplies last.

When should you keep your student home from school due to illness?

    • Fever:If your child has a fever of 100°F or more, keep them home for 24 hours after their temperature returns to normal without using fever-reducing medication.

    • Vomiting: If your child has vomited one or more times, keep them home for 24 hours following the last episode.

    • Diarrhea: If your child has diarrhea and needs to use the bathroom frequently, keep them home for 24 hours following the last episode.

    • Rash: If your child has a rash from an unknown or infectious cause, check with a health care provider before sending them to school.

*We want students to be in school, even if they seem a little tired or irritable in the morning. As long as they do not have any of the signs or symptoms listed above, please send them to school.

If a student is home ill, please call the school attendance phone line daily to report the reason for absence. (651) 293-8600

If your student calls and wants you to pick them up from school, please ask them to come to the Health Office. We can do a brief assessment and contact you in order to make a decision together about whether they should leave school.

Please contact the Health Office if your student will be out of school for significant health issues such as illness, injury, or surgery.
