Leadership Change at Como Park Senior
Dear Como Park Senior High School Families,
I am writing to inform you of an upcoming change in our leadership team at Como Park Senior High School. Principal Dr. Kirk Morris has accepted another position within Saint Paul Public Schools. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Morris as an Assistant Superintendent on our leadership team beginning this coming July. I want to thank him for his investment and dedication to our students and families at Como for the last three years.
As we move forward in selecting the next principal of Como Park Senior High School, we want to take time in the coming weeks to recruit all possible candidates and make sure you are informed and involved. We will miss Dr. Morris at Como Park, and SPPS is working to find an excellent leader.
We will share more information about the principal selection process in the coming weeks, and the community will be kept informed as we move forward with this process. We do not expect to begin interviewing until after SPPS Spring Break in early April. As has been the case in the past, the first interview will involve a team made up of a student, two staff members and two community members, with the intention of selecting a new principal for the 2023-24 school year.
Once the new leader of Como Park Senior High School is selected, we will share a simple survey with families and staff. This online survey will serve as a great opportunity for the school community to share what you believe the most important priorities are for your new leader and identify what you are most proud of about your school.
