Hello!

Hard to believe it is the 2018-2019 school year. I have had the privilege of teaching the students of St. Paul since 1991. I have been in many schools and have had my own classrooms as well as supporting other wonderful staff.

Currently I am a special education teacher servicing a variety of scholars with a variety of disabilities. I am co-teaching during literacy with Mrs. Lindberg in first grade here at The Heights. I will be with the first grade classroom from approximatly 8:30-10:00 a.m. daily and again from 1:00-1:30. Beyond my time in first grade, I have small pull out groups for other first graders as well as 2nd graders. I also can be found in Ms. Ylonen's kindergarten class twice a day from 10:30-11:10 and 12:30-12:50.

Beyond the school day, my husband and I have just celebrated 17 years of marriage and are the lucky parents to two girls.  As we navigate middle school and high school with two teenage girls life stays excited. Both our girls are National Junior Honor Society Members, as well as 3 sport athletes. 

I am entering my 5th year as an assistant basketball coach for my youngests, traveling program and am a member of the Board helping to make decisions and support teams, coaches, as well as families.

This is an example of the day, but can change at any time:

 Arrive at school by 8:00 (usually earlier)

 8:30 - 10:00 Mrs. Lindberg Co-Teaching  M, T, W, TH, F

10:00- 10:30 1st-2nd Grade - small group 

10:30- 11:10 Kindergarten - Ms. Ylonen's class

 11:20- 12:00 2nd grade small group

12:00- 12:30 Lunch

12:30- 12:55  Kindergarten/transition to specialist

1:00-1:30 Mrs. Lindberg's Class

1:30- 1:45 Intervention group 

1:45-2:35 Prep

2:35- 3:00 Observation, classroom supports etc.
