Jambo (Hello) Families and Students!

My name is Laquita Normil. I am the ECSE Itinerant Teacher who will be working in the PreK program here at The Heights in addition to Highwood Hills. I have been working at The Heights for 6yrs, Highwood Hills for 7 months and will be entering my 7th year as an ECSE Teacher this school year. I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2006, earning a B.A. in Child Psychology and a minor in Youth studies. I decided to go back to school to earn my Masters in ECSE at the University of St Thomas in 2017.  I was born in Jamaica and migrated to the United States when I was 5 years old with my family. I have twin boys, Princeton and Kingston, who will be entering the 10th grade at TwinCities Academy. I enjoy going to the movies, traveling and spending time with my family and friends.
