Third Grade Reading

  • Third-grade readers are always becoming more and more independent. They are better able to understand new words and make meaning on their own. They read at least 30 minutes every day!

The best readers are skilled at phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension.

    They can:

    • Make Predictions
    • Visualize
    • Make Connections
    • Ask Questions
    • Make Inferences
    • Determine Importance
    • Synthisize
    • Evaluate

Each third grade student has an account with Raz Kids to practice these skills.
