Ms. Yang is one of the EL teachers at Bruce Vento Elementary. She started teaching at Vento in 2016.  Before becoming an EL teacher, she was a classroom teacher.  She taught 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 5th grade.  She has a Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Minnesota and an ESL license from Saint Mary’s University.

Ms. Yang is a former SPPS student.  She went to Jackson Elementary and Hamline Elementary (when it was called Hancock Elementary).  Her junior year experience was at Washington Middle School.  She graduated with her diploma from Como Senior High School. She currently lives in the Twin Cities with her husband, her children, their grandmother, and her dog.

When she is not teaching, Ms. Yang and her family love to travel and explore our awesome states. The states they visited are Alaska, California, Nevada, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Hawaii, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  They also travel outside of the United States to visit Thailand, China, France, and Laos.
