Important Message about Jie Ming Start Times

Dear Jie Ming Mandarin Immersion Families, 

I’m writing to tell you about an important change for Jie Ming Mandarin Immersion next school year. 

In the Fall of 2018, Jie Ming will start the school day at 9:30 a.m. and will dismiss at 4 p.m. I know this will be a big change for many families and I wanted to give you as much advance notice as possible. My staff will work with families and Principal Bobbie Johnson to help find ways to support the school community through this transition. For example, we will continue to offer Discovery Club, a before- and after-school child care program. 

The Board of Education recently approved a plan to change start times beginning in fall 2019. Jie Ming is changing its start time one year early to minimize disruption during its move to 1845 Sheridan Ave. W. Additionally, Jie Ming will no longer share bus routes with another school and will now match the start times of several other magnet schools. 

I realize that Jie Ming has endured more than its share of change. I want to thank you as we continue to work together in growing an amazing school. If you have any questions, please contact the school at 651-293-8715.
