Michelle Li ( Li laoshi)

Dear parents and families,

My name is Michelle Li, and you can call me Li Laoshi. I have been a teacher for 8 years and taught K-5 grade students in the past. This will be my first year teaching Kindergarten at Jie Ming. I love Kindergarten and all the exploring, learning, and fun we get to do together. 

I have a master’s degree in education and my passion for teaching never stops. As a teacher, I take pride in my profession, and I think teaching is one of the most important professions in the world. I believe all children are unique and must have the right educational environment and guidance for success. It’s my job to create this environment where every student can meet their full potential.  

I grew up in China in a small town and moved to Minnesota more than 10 years ago. I live with my husband now, but my family is still in China and I wish I could visit them often. I love gardening, traveling, and exercising during my spare time.

I am super excited to be part of the Jie Ming community. I will work hard to provide a safe learning environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks. I am looking forward to a wonderful and fun year with every student in my class.
