Welcome to 2nd Grade!

Welcome!  My name is Tracy vanNatta and I have been with St. Paul Schools since 1997.  My teaching has brought me to several schools in the SPPS district, including Expo Elementary, Randolph Heights and Nokomis Montessori.  I first began working at SPPS Discovery Club and then taught grades K-2 as a reading specialist.  I have been teaching at Groveland since 2005 where I have been lucky enough to be a teacher in kindergarten, first grade, a multi-aged room for 1st & 2nd as well as second grade. 

When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, reading and traveling.  I also enjoy cheering my children on at their sporting events. My family includes my husband, son, and daughter.  We are an active family with school, sports and our dog named Maizy.  

My classroom is built around community and respect for one another.  I love the energy my students bring to school each and every day!

10:15-10:30  Reading Mini-Lesson

10:30-12:00 Math, Math Review & Centers

12:00 - 12:30 Lunch

12:30 - 2:00 Literacy & Centers

2:00 - 2:50 Specialist (World Cultures, Phy.Ed., Science)

3:00-3:20  Recess

3:20 - 3:50  Classroom Jobs & Read Aloud

3:50 - 4:00  Dismissal

*Students attend Phy Ed twice a week
