Welcome to Kindergarten at Groveland Park Elementary!  My name is Melissa Norenberg.  I have been teaching in St. Paul Public Schools since October 2000.  I have been teaching Kindergarten at Groveland Park Elementary since 2016.  I have a BS in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota, Duluth and a MAED in Education from Hamline University.  I am trained in Reading Recovery as well.  

When I am not teaching, I like to read, scrapbook, make cards and spend time with my family.  I also enjoy fishing and spending time at the lake in northern Minnesota.  I enjoy going for walks and bike rides with my family.  I live in Hugo, Minnesota.  I am married and have one daughter.  In the summer I enjoy working on projects around my house and spending as much time as possible with my family at the lake.  

I love being a part of the Groveland Park Elementary Community. I enjoy spending my day with 5 and 6 year olds!  Their enthusiasm, creativity and love of learning is contagious and makes our day full of fun and laughter!  Groveland Park has a great community of students and families who are supportive and make this a great place to be!  I believe with the help and support of families, all students can achieve and be successful.
