My name is Kate Schumacher. I am an E1 teacher at Nokomis North Montessori School. E1 is a multigrade classroom with 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd grade students. I hope to make a difference in every child’s life that I work with and believe that all students have the ability to make a difference in the world. I am committed to providing a welcoming, safe, peaceful, and engaging environment in the classroom. All students are welcome and encouraged to express themselves. As a teacher, my goal is to help all children feel excited to learn and grow.

I attended the University of Minnesota for my undergraduate work and my graduate work. I also attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls for my Masters in Montessori Credentials.
