Savannah Cespedes

Savannah has been teaching Literacy Interventions and Literacy Specialist classes at Nokomis Montessori South since 2017. In 2020, Savannah joined the Nokomis North team as a Literacy Specialist. Before joining the Nokomis team, she taught PreK, 1st Grade and 2nd Grade.  Savannah earned her undergrad in Elementary Education from the University of Jamestown in 2014 and her Master's in Literacy Education along with an ESL Certificate from Hamline University in 2020.

Savannah loves teaching at Nokomis Montessori because it truly is a peaceful place for students to learn and build relationships.  As a literacy interventionist, she meets with small groups of 3rd-5th graders to focus on reading strategies.  In Literacy Specialist classes, Savannah engages students through reading, writing, listening and speaking activities to enhance literacy skills.

Savannah grew up in rural Minnesota on her parents dariy farm and moved to the Twin Cities area in 2016.  When not in school, Savannah continues to help on her parent's farm whenever she can.  She also enjoys exploring Minnesota state parks, listening to podcasts, traveling, reading, baking and board games with her family and friends.
