Mr. Andrew Lee

Hello,

My name is Mr. Andrew Lee.

I am the Academic Support Teacher here at Chelsea Heights.

I am so extremely excited about joining the Chelsea Heights community this year. I have been teaching in Saint Paul for over 10 years after finishing my degrees and licensure at the University of Minnesota. I am an MN native and have lived hear most of my life beside some time teaching overseas in India. My family and I live close by in Minneapolis and I am just about to be the father of a kindergartner this year. So I am learning to teach from both sides as a teacher and a parent. I also have a younger son who is almost 2. My passions are being with my kids, playing with Legos and being outside in this great state. I can't wait to hear more about you and what you are passionate about.

As Academic Support teacher this year I will be pulling small groups of students to work on basic skills of Math or Reading that students have not gotten yet. I will be working with the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade student to help all students feel successful and get to the end of this year a better reader and mathematician.

I look forward to connecting with you all as the year progresses.

Please feel free to contact me by email, text or phone (see contact info)

  • What is an Intervention Teacher?

My job is to identify students who are missing academic skills they need for school. I will meet with students weekly or daily to work on the specific skills they need to be ready for their grade level. This will include reading and math work.
