Maxfield has served the Rondo community for over 130 years. Each year we grow stronger through the involvement of families and the community. At Maxfield our teachers tap into each student’s curiosity, enthusiasm and imagination to engage them fully in learning. Dr. Leslie Hitchens has served SPPS students for nearly 20 years as a teacher serving students who receive specialized education, a peer assistance and review coach, an administrative intern at Maxfield, and most recently, as a K-12 Special Education Supervisor for SPPS.
