Michelle Coffee

Hello Maxfield Scholars and Families!

My name is Michelle Coffee and I am so happy to be joining the Maxfield family and especially the Community 2103 5th grade classroom family for the 2022-2023 school year! I have the wonderful opportunity to co- teach with Mrs. Pottle as a SUTR Resident as I complete my masters in K-5 education.  It has been a blast getting to know these amazing scholars as we build our classroom community.

I was born and raised in St. Paul, MN. I am a proud graduate of St. Paul Public Schools, K-12 also earned my bachelors degree in Art from the University of Minnesota. Over the past 20+ years, I have enjoyed many meaningful experiences in youth work in St. Paul and Minneapolis communities. These experiences range from after-school and summer youth programs, youth and young adult employment counseling/college and career exploration. I have also enjoyed several years as an educational support professional with high school students to achieve their academic goals and, most recently, I have been substitute teaching at St. Paul Public Schools.

In my free time I love spending time with family and friends, especially my nieces and nephews. I love attending all their sports events, and performances in theater and music. I enjoy art and music and I love to paint and draw. I have many favorite tv shows, movies and books. And yes, I love COFFEE! (and not just because it’s my last name)
