John Anger has been teaching for 24 years. The first 5 years he taught 4th and 5th grade at Benjamin E. Mays Elementary School. He's been at Dayton's Bluff for the past 19 years, the last 9 in first grade. Mr. Anger did his undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, graduating in 1997 as a nontraditional student. He attained a Master's Degree in Gifted Education from Minnesota State-Mankato in 2003. 

Mr. Anger has always valued education so when his third child was born, he decided it was time to go back to school to get a degree in education. Mr. Anger believes that was the best career decision he has ever made! 

Outside of school, Mr. Anger loves to read, camp, and fish. Mr. Anger is a Minnesota sports fan and has been a huge Vikings and Twins fan since he was a boy. 

Mr. Anger's faith keeps him focused on what is important...at school that means seeing and cultivating the best in his students and making sure they know that they are loved and valued. Faith, Family, Community, and believing in our fellow human beings is foundational.
