Linda Bassat began teaching at Dayton's Bluff Elementary in 2000.  She has a Master's in Education and a Bachelor's of Science from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.  She has taught 1st - 5th grade.

She spends her summers on the lake fishing for Crappies, Blue Gill and Bass.  She enjoys catching Northern Pike the best because they put up a good fight.  When she's not fishing up north, she enjoys making mosaic stepping stones with her granddaughter.

She lives with her husband, children and pets.  Two of her younger children are in high school and two of her older children live on their own.  They keep her very busy with school events, homework and sports.  She also has two dogs, Sparky - a Miniature Pincher and a Duke - a Pitbull Mix.

Dayton's Bluff Elementary is very special to her for several reasons: her mother was a Title I Migrant Education Teacher at the Bluff; two of her children attended classes in the Early Childhood Family Program before she worked at the Bluff; and she gets to meet so many wonderful families and their children in the school and in the neighborhood.

A quote she often uses with her children at home and in school is "If you CONCIEVE, and you BELIEVE, you will ACHIEVE!"
