Mr. Cooper began teaching a long, long time ago. He graduated from Mankato State University and did his student teaching in Saint Paul, which eventually led to a teaching position. That was in 1997 and he has been happily teaching in Saint Paul ever since!

When Mr. Cooper is not at school he is at home, usually spending time with his family or walking his dog. He enjoys coaching his son and daughter in various sports around the Twin Cities. When he has time for himself, he loves to cook, run, practice his art and even has been known to play a video game or two!

Mr. Cooper lives in Richfield, Minnesota but is originally from Chicago, Illinois. He is married and has a 13 year-old son and a 9 year-old daughter. He also has a dog named Spot that asks for way too much attention!

This is Mr. Cooper's first year at Dayton's Bluff and he is super excited for the new start. He co-teaches the fourth grade with an incredibly motivated Mrs. Rice who is as equally talented when it comes to educating children. He has been teaching in Saint Paul for over 20 years and loves coming into work each day to work with his students!
