I’m Rebekah, and I run the theater classes and after-school productions. Three fun facts: I grew up in California, I am half Chilean, and I run a theater company called Raw Sugar, which produces new works by women.  I studied directing at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I did not learn how to surf but did ride a longboard to class every day.  After college, I lived in England for one year and then moved to Maine to intern in directing and dramaturgy at Portland Stage, Maine's Regional Theater.  I can explain how to eat a lobster if you are curious.  Five years ago, I moved to Minneapolis. I love the down-to-earth, creative arts scene of the Midwest. Locally, I work with Mixed Blood Theater, Teatro del Pueblo, the Playwright's Center, Bedlam Theater, Workhaus Collective, Barebones Halloween Extravaganza, and many more.  Please come talk to me about what kind of performance/theater/art/fun you are interested in making.
