Open World Learning Library Services

  • Welcome to the OWL Library!

The OWL Library Media Center, located in the IDEA Lab, is an integral part of our school’s overall mission to support "joyful, curious, self-directed learners engaged in the world."

We love to see you in the OWL Library! Stop in before or after school, or bring a pass from your teacher. We are open during school hours: 7:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. (Closed during lunches/Crew time.)

Saint Paul Public Schools Library Services empowers students and staff to become enthusiastic readers, critical thinkers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information. To accomplish this, we:

    • Provide resource-rich library environments that encourage curiosity and learning.
    • Curate collections of a rich mix of resources that align with curriculum and student interests.
    • Collaborate with teachers in instructional planning to support personalized learning.
    • Offer engaging programs to connect students and staff with authors, partner organizations, and enrichment opportunities.

The work of Library Services helps to accomplish the SPPS Strong Schools, Strong Communities 2.0 goals of Achievement (College and Career Readiness, Equity, and Personalized Learning), Alignment, and Sustainability.
