My name is Rhonda Mechels,

This is my 24th year at St Paul Public Schools. Throughout my career, I have served as a Learning Disabilities Teacher, a Classroom teacher, Math Coach, Data Coach, Administrative Intern, School Assessment Coordinator and Technology Integration Specialist at several sites throughout St. Paul Public Schools.

This is my 8th year at OWL as a technology integration specialist (10 years total serving as a technology specialist), and second year serving as school assessment coordinator at OWL.

My additional career highlights include serving as a Best Prep technology integrationist, Restorative Practice facilitator, Professional Learning Community Coordinator, Superintendents Technology Committee, District Technology Steering Committee facilitator. Donorschoose Ambassador and STEAM Girls Leader, Genuis Squad Advisor. 

I enjoy working with the entire OWL community. I am looking forward to an exciting year. I look forward to continuing to work with our community partners to strengthen our school and continue working with our  community partners.

When I am not at work, I enjoy gardening, especially flowers. I love flowers. My husband and I have two aging dogs, Riley who is 17 years old and Ruby who is 15.
