Thank you for your interest in participating in the remodeling/addition planning for the St. Anthony Park Elementary School building. We have a big project ahead of us and your input is needed. Cunningham Group Architecture, Inc. will lead this project and design the plans for our school. They have worked on several schools in St. Paul and many schools in the United States. 

The Cunningham Group is asking for community members to participate in the process through a School Design Committee, what I have called a steering committee. Our first meeting will be on March 21^st. We are working on the exact time of the meeting; it likely will be early evening. I will email you when I have confirmation of the time. Subsequent meetings will be on April 18, May 2 and May 16. We will reconvene in the fall for an update. A small subgroup will also meet more frequently. 

The School Design Committee will have several purposes: to learn the scope of the project, share our hopes and vision for our community school, learn possibilities and what is happening at other schools, give input and respond to plans. A small group will tour other schools as we explore the possibilities. 

I encourage you to attend. It is important to have diverse perspectives in order to develop a school building that meets the needs of all students and the community.
