Ms. Nichola Phillips

Hello, my name is Nichola Phillips.  I am excited about being a WINN teacher at St. Anthony Park! I look forward to helping students develop foundational reading skills in a small group setting.  This is my 28th year in SPPS.  I have spent most of my career as a classroom teacher in grades 2-5.  Most of my years at SAP have been teaching in third grade.  When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading fiction, kayaking, snowshoeing, cooking and spending time with my family.  My husband and I have two college-age children (both SPPS graduates), a dog, a cat, and some chickens.  I look forward to working with kindergarten through third grade students this school year.

Ms. Killeen

Hi, my name is Maggie Killeen and I am excited to be a part of the 2nd grade team at St. Anthony Park Elementary.  This is my 22nd year of teaching in the district.  I have a Master's Degree in Education and a Gifted Certificate from Hamlline University along with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from St. Catherine University.

I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and at the age of ten grew up in New Prague, Minnesota.  I lived on a "small" hobby farm of 100 beef cattle.  Currently I am living in St. Paul.  I love to walk, garden, shop with coupons and cook.

This year you can find me on the first floor, adjacent to the Library. The 2nd graders will focus on the Common Core Standards. We will be using Responsive Classroom rituals and routines to show compassion and kindness toward others, while increasing our individual accountability.

I look forward to working with your child this year.  Please feel free to contact me at 651-744-7179 or via e-mail : maggie.killeen@spps.org.
