    My name is May Xiong and I'm the EL (English Language) teacher for 3rd grade. As an EL learner myself, I understand how difficult it is to learn English or another language.  For our EL students who are experiencing schooling in America for the first time, my job is to create an environment where they feel safe and welcomed. 

    I love co-teaching with my 3rd grade team in Writing. When we teach together, we are providing students with multiple perspectives and all our students benefit.
