Hello!

My name is Ms.Palmen and I am very excited to be back for my third year as a first grade team member at Mississippi Creative Arts School. I graduated from Winona State in 2018 with a major in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and a minor in Reading Instruction. Becoming a teacher has been a dream of mine since I was little. Every year in the “All About Me” section of our school yearbook I would list “teacher” as my dream job. This will be my fifth year teaching first grade and I cannot wait to see what this year brings. It is a pleasure to be working with a community that puts the arts first. Growing up as a musician myself, it is refreshing to be able to work with a team that values the arts. 

I place relationships at the heart of my classroom and work to build a strong, welcoming community of learners. I strive to provide students with the best learning opportunities that will enrich their learning as they grow into the real world. Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and baking, especially pies.
