The English as a Second Language Department offers English language instruction through listening, speaking, reading, and writing. English language instruction begins with pre-literacy classes and progresses through a university level writing course. Students are tested and placed in language classes, levels 1-4, based on their English proficiency. As students meet curriculum objectives, they advance to the appropriate level.
