Matthew Severns has been named Highland Park Elementary’s new principal beginning in the 2022-23 school year. 

Mr. Severns comes to Highland Park Elementary with years of experience in SPPS, including work as an assistant principal at Parkway Montessori and the SPPS Online School. He brings a student-focused approach to instruction and works to ensure that our learners are provided the best opportunities through their learning each day. 

He believes strongly in the importance of a strong community and works to sustain conversations with families, teachers, and students. If you have any questions, Mr. Severns would love to connect.
