Ms. Emily Spofford

Hi Farnsworth Students and Families!

This is my third year at Farnsworth and I absolutely love being a part of this strong community! This year, my time will be split between Farnsworth and Groveland Park elementary school. I will be at Farnsworth on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday and will primarily be working with Ms. Tschida and Mr. Wangen's 1st grade classrooms and all of the 2nd grade students.

I graduated from University of Minnesota - Morris with a bachelor's degree in psychology and human services and received my master's degree in education - counseling from University of Wisconsin - River Falls. I am passionate about mental health and helping students with their academic, social/emotional, and career development needs. As a school counselor, I aspire to make a holistic difference by building positive relationships, fostering opportunities for growth, and meeting all students where they are at. In my spare time I love to travel, play and sing music, and spend time outdoors.

I am excited for another school year! Please reach out if you have any questions :)
