    Frequently Asked Questions

    Q: Are you a public school or a charter school?

    A: AGAPE is a small learning community in the Saint Paul Public School District.

     

    Q: Do you have a special curriculum?

    A: AGAPE uses the curriculum and standards of the SPPS District.

     

    Q: Do your students take the same tests as “regular High Schools”?

    A:  Students participate in all statewide tests ie: MCA’s , ACCESS testing, ACT and Accuplacer. Students also participate in teacher developed assessments in the core subject areas.

     

    Q: How many credits do you need to graduate:

    A: Our graduation requirements are the same as all Saint Paul Public Schools.

     

    Q: Are there options for credit recovery?

    A: Our students have access to Evening HS. Online options and on rare occasion there is Independent study options in partnership with individual teachers.

     

    Q: What are your hours?

    A: AGAPE is currently (16-17 &17-18) a late start school from 9:30-4:00. In 2018-19 our hours will change to 8:30-3:00.

     

    Q: Is Day-Care free?

    A: Our day-care is contracted through YMCA. The funding is arranged through county funds. Applications for daycare funding are submitted to your county of residence. If students qualify for county assistance then the county pays the daycare directly. For specific questions, contact the child care lead at AGAPE: 651-744-2586.
