These are programs that you may be eligible for as a LEAP student:

  • PSEO (Post Secondary Enrollment Option)
    -Must be in 11th or 12th grade.
    -Under 21 years of age.
    -Pass the Accuplacer Test at the community college.
    -Tuition and books are paid for by the MN Dept. of Ed.
    -You must provide your own transportation.

    St. Paul Career Pathways Program:
    -Take classes at St. Paul College half day for free. Transportation is provided.
    -Available classes vary by semester. Classes included:

    • Engineering, Manufacturing, and Technology
    • Communications and Information Systems
    • Business, Management, and Administration
    • Health Science Technology
    • Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources
    • Human Services

    St. Paul Automotive Program:
    -Auto Technology and Autobody.
    -You must provide your own transportation.

    St. Paul Fire Explorer Post #9624:
    -Meeting and training weekly after school about firefighting career.
    -Train and learn about firefighting and emergency medical services.

    Newgate Education Center:
    -Trains you to become an Automechanic Technician and/or Autobody Technician.
    -Helps you find job when you graduated. Free, no diploma needed.

    Twin Cities RISE! (TCR)
    -Short term training in Office Support such as Clerical, Administrative Asst., Call Center, etc.
    -Warehouse Operation training such as manufacturing, machine operation, etc.

    • Must pass Reading test to be accepted.
