    OBJECTIVES

    Understand and participate in activities that promote a healthy lifestyle for lifelong fitness.

     

    COURSE OUTLINE

    Learners will be challenged daily by learning individual athletic skills, team sports and personal fitness.  Learners will participate in a bike unit. Learners will also be introduced to team building activities that promote a healthy learning environment.

     

    MATERIALS NEEDED EACH DAY

    1. Athletic shoes
    2. Athletic clothing
    3. Willingness to learn
    4. Positive attitude

     

    GRADING

    Points will be awarded for all assignments (physical and written) 2 points per day for participation. Formative assessment 30%, Summative assessment 60%, Attendance 10%  

     

    4.0    Exceeds                      90-100%   A

    3.5    Proficient                   80-89%     B

    3.0    Meeting Standard     70-79%     C

    2.5    Developing                 60-69%     D

    2.0    Emerging                   0-59%       N

    1.0    Not Observed             0-25%       N
