About Me:

Growing up in a small town in Wisconsin gave me limited educational opportunities, yet I had a grandmother who was a teacher and she inspired me toward my life’s work. During my first few years of teaching, I knew I wanted to make a difference in the way students are taught, since high school was not the best experience for me; therefore, I am grateful to be at GPHS.

I live in St. Paul with my husband, Sam, our son, Jake, and my dog, Axel. I have two adult stepsons who live in Dayton, Ohio. I am a grandma, too!

One of my favorite activities is reading and I love reading YA (young-adult books). I also enjoy the classics, like To Kill A Mockingbird, Heart of Darkness, and Persuasion. Theater, any genre, is always a fun outing for me also! I also enjoy spending time with my family being active- skiing, biking, traveling, cooking, and camping. Life is good!
